My name is Jennifer Morgan. As a toddler I would sit in my closet and pretend to play my walker like a piano as I sang my little heart out. When I turned eight I started to learn the piano. At age 10 I spend a year learning the violin. After a move across the country the flute and piccolo became my primary instruments. While majoring in music at Brigham Young University I took a semester of “Organ Essentials” in 1994 and thought that I would never learn the organ because it was just too hard. As a Divine twist of fate, I moved into the same stake as my previous organ instructor, Carol Dean, who was a wonderful encourager who convinced me that yes, I could actually learn to play the organ and was very patient and encouraging as I strove to do just that.

Fast forward to 2009 when, after dabbling on the organ for many years, I finally decided to make a serious study of this glorious instrument and was fortunate to learn under the tutelage of Carol Dean, Bonnie Goodliffe, and Don Cook. I’ve since become a Colleague in the American Guild of Organists (AGO), started a blog to help others learn the organ, served many years in my local chapter of the AGO, and taught many organ students and organ classes.
